Generating functionals and scattering amplitudes

Theories with nonlinear supersymmetries require special treatment to capture the full implications of the symmetries on scattering amplitudes and field solutions. In general, what approach is successful is highly theory dependent. However, for some analyses generating functionals are of use. Instead of targeting specific symmetries, these models encode principles for how the interactions are built from the parts of the action, for analyses across different (similar) theories. I will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of a generating functional inspired by the background field model.
